How do I know if I can benefit from counseling?
If you’ve been thinking about it, that’s often reason enough. Signs it may help include poor sleep, appetite or weight changes, low mood, anxiety, low self-esteem, high stress, irritability, increased substance use, or withdrawal from others. You don’t need to be in crisis, many people come to better understand themselves.

Fit matters more than credentials alone. We recommend reaching out to a few therapists before committing. During your free consultation, you’ll be asked what’s bringing you in, whether you’ve tried therapy before, and what you’re hoping to get out of it. Most people have a sense of whether it’s a good fit after that first conversation.

The first session is mostly about getting to know each other. Your therapist will ask about what’s brought you in, your background, and your goals. There’s no pressure to share everything at once, the first session is simply the beginning of building a relationship and figuring out how to work together best.
No referral is needed. You can request a free 15-minute consultation directly through the website to get started.
That’s more common than you’d think, and it doesn’t mean therapy isn’t for you. A lot depends on finding the right fit, the right approach, and the right timing. If something hasn’t worked before, we’ll talk about what that experience was like and make sure this one is different.

What should I expect from the process?
You get out what you put in. If you’re curious about your thoughts, emotions, and patterns, therapy can be highly valuable. Progress varies, but those who reflect between sessions, like taking notes, often move forward faster.
Sessions are typically 50 minutes. In the early stages, you’ll meet weekly for the first four weeks. After that, you and your therapist will decide together whether to continue weekly or shift to every other week. Ongoing sessions at least twice a month are generally recommended to maintain momentum.
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Some people reach their goals in a few months; others find ongoing support valuable for years. Your therapist will check in regularly to make sure the frequency and focus of sessions still match where you are.
Sessions are available between 8am and 5pm MST. Many clients are seen on a consistent weekly slot, but flexible scheduling is available for those with varying schedules. All sessions are conducted via a HIPAA-compliant virtual platform or by telephone, so you can join from home, your car, a private office space, or wherever works for you.
We ask for at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee. Life happens, just reach out as soon as you can.

How much does a session cost?
Individual sessions are $250 an hour. A quick phone consultation is available before booking your first appointment.
Insurance slots are currently full and we only accept self-pay clients at this time.
Please reach out to discuss your situation. We believe cost should not be a barrier to getting support, and we’ll do our best to find a solution that works for you.
